Jean Darling, who was one of only four surviving cast members from the silent era of films, has passed away. She was 93.

The New York Times reported that friend and fellow actor Rene Riva confirmed that Darling died on Friday in Rodgau, Germany. The cause of death was not disclosed.
The actress was born in 1922 and started acting in Our Gang movies at the age of 4. She appeared in 46 total silent films in the series and later six talkies.
In 1942, Darling made her debut in the musical Count Me In. Three years later, she snagged the role of Carrie Pipperidge in the Broadway production of Carousel. She also hosted a television show on NBC titled a A Date with Jean Darling, which was a daily talk show geared towards females.
Not only was Darling an actress and TV host but she was also a writer and authored horror and mystery stories for a magazine when she moved to Ireland in 1970, Entertainment Weekly noted.
She had one child with her late husband Reuben Bowen.
