Princess Madeleine of Sweden is pregnant with her second child only 10 months after giving birth to daughter Leonore.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Princess Madeleine’s daughter, whose full name is Royal Highness Leonore Lilian Maria of Sweden, Duchess of Gotland, is fifth in line to the throne and was born on Feb. 20.
The Princess and her husband, Christopher O’Neill spoke in a statement, “We are very happy and look forward to welcoming a new member to our family.” She is likely due “in the summer of 2015.” At the same time, Madeleine will be attending her brother, Prince Carl Philip’s, wedding to Sofia Hellqvist.
The couple met in 2010 and were married in June 2013. O’Neill, who is an American citizen, does not have a royal title.
E! News reported the couple live in New York. They are the second royal couple to announce their pregnancy, following the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who are due with their second child in April 2015.
