The Dish Network continues to black out the Fox News channel as both companies continue to discuss contract disputes.

According to USA Today, the blackout began on Saturday as the providers for both the cable and satellite were battling Fox when it came to subscription fees.
Many consumers complained about this move, as one user who complained on the Consumer Affairs website even said that the FOX networks were part of why he “signed up to DISH.” The user also said, “Without them, I would expect a huge drop in my rates at least.”
Fox has reportedly suggested that people who watch the networks regularly move to another provider.
The Wrap reported that the cable provider claimed the Fox network had added fee increases that were not originally part of the contract that they are on with Dish.
The senior vice president of programming for Dish, Warren Schlichting, said, “Fox blacked out two of its news channels, using them as leverage to triple rates on sports and entertainment channels that are not in this contract.”
However, Fox countered that Dish were using viewers as “pawns,” according to Tim Carry, who is the executive vice president of distribution for Fox News.
Other blackouts have occurred thanks to Dish, including Turner Classic Movies and CNN in October.
