Angelina Jolie was leaving a screening for her upcoming film Unbroken when the SUV she was riding in was involved in a car crash. Luckily, no one was injured when the accident occurred late Sunday evening.
According to New York Daily News, the accident occurred when the car was driving across a wet road when it began to skid before ultimately hitting the curb, causing two of the tires to pop.
A witness reported seeing the car moving at “significant” speed. Jolie was in the car for 30 minutes before she left in a white car that arrived after the accident.
X17 reported on the crash as it occurred around 6:45 pm pacific time. A witness told them, “It was pretty bad- the tire exploded and it’s amazing nothing worse happened to the car.”
Thankfully no one was injured, but it is a scary situation to be in, especially on the heels of Jolie’s upcoming film debut.
Jolie’s film, which she also directed, will hit theaters Dec. 23.
