34-year-old Rutina Wesley filed for divorce from her husband, actor Jacob Fishel, last Friday. After over eight years of marriage, they are throwing in the towel, as L.A. Superior Court records show that Wesley claimed irreconcilable differences. The records also show that Wesley is requesting that the judge grant the Without a Trace actor absolutely no alimony.
The True Blood star married Fishel in June of 2005, but the couple separated this July, reports People.
The couple met while they were grad students at Julliard, according to TMZ. When they graduated, they got hitched in 2005.
The couple does not have any children together.
People reports that in 2010, Wesley said of Fishel, “We thought, 'If we could spend four years together at this crazy school, then we can make it the rest of our lives.' He's an amazing actor, cook and husband. I enjoy him immensely.” Now, three years later, the couple is unable to reconcile their issues, throwing their marriage out the window.
